I often draw generic portraits to test new paper or pencils and I like the resulting drawings to serve some purpose. Last week, the Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincolnshire suffered a massive fire in its stroke unit. A fund raising event is being orgainised to help replace vital equipment as soon as possible and my portrait of a King Charles Spaniel will be a raffle prize. As a generic portrait, framed and mounted it would be £250, so a bargain can be had…but only if you have a ticket!
